Our family has traveled to Disney World during the high-peak Christmas season and we would never do it again. It was so crowded, we couldn’t see anything of Epcot and with so many people the ride lines were long and the hotels expensive. I didn’t think the Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World (WDW) were worth braving the crowds. When we went in 2012, we saw Cinderella’s Castle which was stunning, Santa, and a random wreath and that was about it for holiday decorations. I have heard they have stepped it up quite a bit since then, but my personal opinion is that Disneyland does way more for the holidays than Disney World. Feel free to disagree with me on that one!
If you must travel to Walt Disney World (WDW) during Christmastime, go early in the season when the crowds are at their smallest. For a Disney World crowd calendar, click here.
